The Atascadero Men’s Club, in conjunction with Chalk Mountain Golf Course, is again sponsoring this program to encourage greater participation in the Men’s Club tournaments this year.

The Men’s Club tournament schedule this year consists of 13 events with only 9 tournaments (in bold type) counting towards the Chalk Mountain Cup. You must earn at least 90 points to receive a free COUNTY DISCOUNT CARD. In addition, other prizes will be awarded based upon your total points. Ten places will be awarded at the Christmas Tournament in addition to the County Cards. 

1. Saturday, January 30- NCGA 2 Man Qualifying  – 10 points
2. Saturday, February 20- Two Man Scramble (one senior member & one non-  senior person, member or non-member) - 10 points
3. Sat/Sun,March 6,7- NCGA 4 Man Qualifying – 10 points
4. Saturday, April 24- Two Man Best Ball (6,6,6)- 10 Points
5. Sat/Sun, May 15 & 16   Home & Home (other club TBA)
6. Wednesday, June 2–Senior NCGA 2 Man Qualifying ( Senior Club Tournament)
7. Saturday, June 19- Match Play Starts, ends Aug. 8th – 10 points
8. Sunday, July 25- NCGA Individual Net Qualifying – 10 points
9. Sat/Sun, August 28th & 29th- Heilman Invitational 3-man (member/guest)
10. Sat/Sun, October 2,3 – Club Championship & Senior Championship
 (net & gross) - 10 points
11. Saturday, November 13– Turkey Shoot – 10 points
12. Wednesday, December 8– Horse Race/Annual Meeting
13. Saturday, December 11– Christmas Tournament – 10 points
     
POINTS MAY ALSO BE EARNED BY PLACING IN THE TOURNAMENT:
1st place = 8 pts, 2nd= 7 pts, 3rd = 6 pts, 4th = 5 pts, 5th = 4 pts. 6th = 3 pts. 7th = 2 pts, 8th = 1 pt.  Two-man teams will receive one-half of the total place points each. Four-man teams will receive one-fourth of the total place points each.

Purpose:

The purpose of the Atascadero Golf Club is to promote golf and serve the community of Atascadero. Three primary objectives guide the activities of the club:

• To provide avenues for social exchange
• To promote golf to the youth of the community
• To created avenues for friendly competition among the members

Activities:

In addition to sponsoring a broad spectrum of monthly local tournaments the club participates on a statewide level through the Northern California Golf Association (NCGA). Members compete for opportunities to represent the club in first class golfing activities conducted in Monterey at Spyglass and Poppy Hills. Annual club activities include:

• Club Championships
• Team and Individual Events
• Special Holiday Tournaments
• Special events for Seniors (minimum age 50)
