MOUNTAIN CUP & CLUB CALENDAR – 2011

EARN A FREE COUNTY DISCOUNT CARD FOR 2012

The Atascadero Golf Club, in conjunction with the Chalk Mountain Golf Course, is again sponsoring this program to encourage greater participation in the Club tournaments this year.

The Atascadero Golf Club tournament schedule this year consists of 11 events with only 8 tournaments (in bold type) counting towards the Chalk Mountain Cup. You must earn at least 80 points to receive a free COUNTY DISCOUNT CARD. In addition, other prizes will be awarded based upon your total points. Ten places will be awarded at the Christmas Tournament in addition to the County Cards.

1. Saturday, January 22- NCGA 2 Man Qualifying – 10 points

2. Sat/Sun. February 26,27- NCGA 4 Man Qualifying – 10 points

3. Saturday, April 9- Two Man Best Ball (6,6,6) – 10 points (one senior member & one non-senior person, member or non-member) - 10 points

4. Saturday, May 7 – Start Two Man Match Play – 10 points

5. Wednesday, June 1–Senior NCGA Two Man Qualifying – Senior Club Tournament

6. Saturday, July 9- NCGA Individual Net Qualifying – 10 points (with Players Club Tournament

7. Sat/Sun, August 27,28- Heilman Invitational – 2 man: (member/guest)

8. Sat/Sun, October 1,2– Club Championship & Senior Championship

(net & gross) - 10 points

9. Saturday, November 12– Turkey Shoot – 10 points

10. Friday, December 9– Horse Race/Annual Meeting

11. Saturday, December 10– Christmas Tournament– 10 points

POINTS MAY ALSO BE EARNED BY PLACING IN THE TOURNAMENT:

1^st place = 8 pts, 2^nd= 7 pts, 3^rd = 6 pts, 4^th = 5 pts, 5^th = 4 pts. 6^th = 3 pts. 7^th = 2 pts, 8^th = 1 pt. Two-man teams will receive one-half of the total place points each. Four-man teams will receive one-fourth of the total place points each.

County Discount Cards and the top 10 point Mountain Cup leaders will be awarded at the conclusion of the Christmas Tournament.

Atascasdero Golf Club Information

Purpose:

The purpose of the Atascadero Golf Club is to promote golf and serve the community of Atascadero. Three primary objectives guide the activities of the club:

To provide avenues for social exchange

To promote golf to the youth of the community

To created avenues for friendly competition among the members

Activities:

In addition to sponsoring a broad spectrum of monthly local tournaments the club participates on a statewide level through the Northern California Golf Association (NCGA). Members compete for opportunities to represent the club in first class golfing activities conducted in Monterey at Spyglass and Poppy Hills. Annual club activities include:
